Photos: Dances Long Ago and Yesterday

Saint Anastasia's parishioners have always worn dancing shoes, from the dances in the twenties to the 2008 Dinner Dance. Four images, below, show parishioners enjoying a long-ago dance.Images from the Centennial Anniversay Dinner Dance are posted below also.

In the 1980s, a group of parishioners got together and organized a series of Fun Raisers, so named because their purpose was not to raise funds for the parish -- as was so often the case in the past -- but to raise the level of fun in the parish. They were wildly successful—a certain male quartet in tutus is legendary. The series of Annual Fun Raisers were held from 1981 to 1991. Fr. Tom mimiced Johnny Carson 's Carnac to much laughter.
